Justin Leblanc

Justin is a proud and extremely knowleagable Hendley Building Consultants’ Team member and below is how Justin would describe his expertise. Ever since I can remember I’ve always been interested in buildings and how they were built. I built homes in the summers during high school and with my school I was involved in traveling to New Orleans on two different occasions for a hurricane Katrina relief missions. While we were there we helped rebuild many different homes. To see the look on their faces when a group of students from Canada had traveled that far to fixed their homes; it was absolutely priceless. I love helping people and I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything. I just hope I get the opportunity to do it again.

After secondary school I then ventured my way to the Architectural Technician programme at Algonquin College, where I learned so much about all the systems in a building and how they operate together. After College I had a few desk jobs that taught me a lot but ultimately I knew I needed to be somewhere else. I stated building houses across the Ottawa valley and then all over the SDG counties. To this day I love building stuff with my hands but I knew there had to be a middle ground between tapping the keyboard and hitting a nail. So while I was working, I took the Home Inspection programme offered at Algonquin. This course took my knowledge of buildings to another level; not only do I know how building should be built but this course taught me how to recognize all kinds of defects in the building system and also how to recognize poor construction techniques with ease.
